Tidak hanya pelayanan, peninjauan yang dilakukan juga untuk memastikan peralatan medis yang dimiliki rumah sakit milik Pemko Medan ini siap mendukung pelayanan kesehatan yang diberikan.
Pelayanan kesehatan menjadi fokus perhatian Wali Kota Medan Rico Tri Putra Bayu Waas dan Wakil Wali Kota H Zakiyuddin Harahap. Hal ini dilakukan sebagai bentuk komitmen untuk menepati janji kampanye yakni memperbaiki fasilitas kesehatan di Kota Medan.
Itu sebabnya sejak dilantik Presiden Prabowo Subianto bersama Rico Waas, peninjauan fasilitas kesehatan kali ketiga dilakukan Zakiyuddin. Sebelumnya, pria berkacamata ini telah meninjau RSUD Pirngadi dan Puskesmas Sentosa Baru di Kecamatan Medan Perjuangan.
Setibanya di lokasi, Zakiyuddin didampingi Direktur RSUD Bachtiar Djafar langsung meninjau ruangan dan peralatan kesehatan yang dimiliki, termasuk ruang rawat inap untuk merawat pasien. Di ruangan itu, Zakiyuddin dengan ramah menyapa dan menanyakan kondisi sejumlah pasien serta menanyakan kondisi rumah sakit dan pelayanan yang diberikan.
“Saya tadi bertanya kepada sejumlah pasien, alhamdulillah mereka merasa nyaman dengan pelayanan kesehatan yang diberikan. Kita harapkan ini terus dipertahankan dan ditingkatkan lagi sehingga masyarakat yang datang berobat benar-benar puas,“ kata Zakiyuddin.
Anak dari Saleh Harahap, mantan Bupati Tapanuli Selatan periode 2000-2004 ini selanjutnya memberikan arahan kepada Direktur RSUD Bachtiar Djafar beserta jajaran. Diharapkannya, rumah sakit yang diresmikan 5 Desember 2022 ini dapat melayani dengan baik masyarakat yang bermukim di Medan bagian utara dimana terdapat 4 kecamatan yakni Medan Belawan, Medan Labuhan, Medan Deli dan Medan Marelan tersebut.
Apalagi, ungkap Zakiyuddin, selain memiliki tenaga medis dan dokter profesional di bidangnya, fasilitas dan pelayanan kesehatan di rumah sakit ini cukup lengkap diantaranya pelayanan IGD, Laboratorium, Radiologi, apoteker, rawat jalan (poliklinik) rawat inap, ICU, NICU dan PICU, kamar bedah serta ruang bersalin.
